Release time:2011-11-24Views:
"Although a music conductor uses only one stick, it's more difficult than using four sticks at the same time," said Li Biao, a percussionist who just finished a rehearsal at the Forbidden City Concert Hall. Li will take the role as a music conductor in a performance with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, this Friday, March 16.
Under Li Biao, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra will perform Ney Rosauro's "Marimba Concerto," Richard Wagner's "Tannh?user Overture," and Ludwig van Beethoven's "Symphony No.7 in A Major."
Li said this will be his first performance with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra as a conductor. He will also give a series of performances with Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra from Italy and Brandenburger Symphony Orchestra from Germany.
